SDOT Stay Healthy Streets Program

Have an event you want to put on? Just want to throw a block party for your street? With SDOT’s Stay Healthy Streets, you can do it! The Healthy Streets program is that is encouraging Seattle residents to get out and get moving while staying socially distanced. With a permit you can close down a block, or a few, for your Jamboree/Block Party. Once a permit is issued, contact us so we can bring the fun and games!

Permits

Part of planning your event includes location! If you’re looking to close down a block, you’ll need to apply for a permit. Information on the Healthy Streets Permit can be found here! Make sure to read through this carefully, there are conditions to where you can have your Jamborees.

Ready to apply for a permit? Go to SDOT’s permit service portal to begin!

The portal will require you to either login or register. Registration will ask for your name, address, and other contact information. Once are logged in you’re ready to apply!

To begin the application process select Permits—Street Use > Short Term Use > Block Party. From there, you will be prompted for information regarding the street location, date and time, contact information, attachments (if necessary), etc. When prompted for a Project Name fill it in as Stay Healthy Block.

Once you have a your permit, contact us with your date, time and location if you’re interested in bringing our teams to your block!
